Jupiter Enters Pisces – A Season of Faith
Well she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind that's running round
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams and fairy tales
That's all she ever thinks about
Riding with the wind. *
The planet of expansion entered the gentle, imaginative, compassionate sign of Pisces on January 17th. It moves very fast this spring and it will last until June 6, then re-enter Pisces from July 23 until January of 2011. Pisces, the final sign in the zodiac is about accepting what is and letting go of agendas. There were desires in February of 1999 that were the birth of important processes. It is time to release these goals. Put them on the altar, celebrate your growth, and forgive yourself and others for anything that did not work out. Clear the way for fresh desires that will come in June.
Pisces is a contemplative, creative, impressionable energy. You may get lost in fantasies or wander around your house like a little lost bird looking for your keys, glasses or phone. You may drift in fantasies and cling to false dreams. If the energy is used unskillfully you may be prone to addiction or swim around in inertia. It is a good time to cultivate spiritual and creative solitude. When you open your heart and suspend judgment, all kinds of magical things can unfold. Serve with unconditional love. Be aware of coincidences, manifestations, and other evidence that linear logical reality is very elusive. It is a great season to learn to trust your gut, and also to surrender any personal dramas and open to your Higher Side.
When Jupiter was last in the sign of Pisces in 1998 the movie “Shakespeare in Love” was very popular. It is a sly fantasy about the Bard’s process as he was writing Romeo and Juliet. This touching movie used Piscean sleight of hand and ambiguity to turn history on its ear. Shakespearean plot devices such as gender bending, confusion, and mistaken identity made for an amusing story. In the film the original working title for the play was Romeo and Ethel The Pirate’s Daughter.
Gweneth Paltrow, the leading lady has a Pisces Rising Sign, which contributes to her ethereal soft beauty. Joseph Finnes who played Shakespeare has a Pisces Moon very close to Gwyneth’s placement. Their sweet intriguing chemistry came from a genuine empathy and sensitivity to each other. Remember when Gwyneth won an Academy Award for this role she cried during her acceptance speech? People who have Pisces Rising usually shed a tear about something or other every day. This year the beauty and innocence depicted in the current hit movie “Avatar” reflect the current Piscean visions of a loving world.
When I'm sad, she comes to me
With a thousand smiles, she gives to me free
It's alright she says it's alright
Take anything you want from me,
